Product Lifecycle Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PLM Consultant to lead and drive end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management initiatives across our engineering and manufacturing functions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with major PLM tools including SolidWorks, ARAS, SAP PLM, and PTC Windchill, along with a deep understanding of Product Development Processes (PDP) and advanced quality methodologies such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation, customization, and integration of PLM tools (SolidWorks, ARAS, SAP PLM, PTC Windchill) across product engineering teams.
• Define and streamline the Product Development Process (PDP) in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Support and enhance CAD integration with PLM systems, ensuring seamless collaboration between design and engineering functions.
• Drive data management and migration strategies for legacy and current product information across PLM platforms.
• Establish and monitor KPIs in PLM to measure the effectiveness of digital engineering and lifecycle processes.
• Facilitate ERP and IoT integration with PLM to ensure a unified digital thread from design to deployment.
• Implement and maintain the Red Flag Process for issue tracking and product non-conformance alerts.
• Provide technical leadership for CAD toolkits, configuration, and change management.
• Act as a key liaison between business, engineering, and IT teams to align PLM systems with enterprise goals.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to PLM training and adoption programs.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in PLM domain with hands-on implementation and support roles.
• Proven expertise in at least two of the following PLM tools: ARAS, SolidWorks PDM, SAP PLM, PTC Windchill.
• Experience working with global OEMs, preferably Volkswagen or tier-1 automotive suppliers would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Product Development Process (PDP) and APQP methodology.
• Deep knowledge of CAD tools and toolkits, with a focus on integration into PLM.
• Proficient in PLM data migration, version control, and product configuration management.
• Experience with ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and IoT platform integration with PLM tools.
• Familiarity with Red Flag or issue escalation processes in engineering or manufacturing contexts.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in PLM platforms (e.g., ARAS Certified Professional, Windchill Admin).
• Experience with scripting, automation, or customization of PLM environments.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
