10+ years of hands on programming experience in the Java technology stack and in designing and developing RESTful web services. In depth experience in relational (MYSQL, Oracle, SQL Server and non-relational data stores and Expert level experience in hand writing SQL queries within relational databases. Experience in noSQL databases and ability to think between relational and non relational data and ETL processes to transform from one to another. Experience in Git (preferably Github), GitLab or other modern code repositories. Exposure to automation/build tools like Maven, Jenkins, CI, CloudFormation and others. Fiercely allegiant to outcomes. Finds the right talent, tools and solution to solve a business problem. Able to make hard decisions on talent, tools and deliverables and able to articulate the reason with a wide audience. Demonstrates proactive communication with US leads and ensures transparency by promptly sharing challenges or setbacks as they arise. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of product development lifecycles with Experience with Agile and other product development methodologies. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for technology and innovation. Bonus – Skills of Interest: Experience with a fast-paced startup environment is a huge plus. Familiarity with SaaS, PaaS products and/or startup culture. Familiarity withJira, Azure DevOps, Continuous Integration and other development tools. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of highly talented product engineers, designers, and other relevant professionals in the design, develop, and maintenance of highly scalable systems using Java, React, SQL & NOSQL Databases, etc. Ensure the technical execution is of the highest order with adoption of industry leading best practices. Bring in the right focus into write, review, and deploy code to deliver product features, reduce technical debt, and improve software architecture, reliability, and performance.. Work closely with product managers to turn user stories and feature requests into technical requirements, and ensure a consistent approach to building, testing, and release of all work. Collaborate with product managers and developers to deliver software solutions, enhance system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and conduct code reviews. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources. Oversee the entire product development process, from ideation to launch and beyond on the technical side. Ensure that products meet quality standards and customer expectations. Conduct thorough testing and analysis to identify and resolve issues. Work closely with product managers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and success. Communicate product plans and progress effectively to all relevant parties. Represent the product team in meetings and presentations. Possess a strong technical background and understanding of relevant technologies and methodologies. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Contribute to technical discussions and decision-making.
