We’re building the founding product design team at Shipmnts — and are looking for someone who wants to go beyond “designing screens” and truly design how global trade and logistics works . This is a unique opportunity. You'll have ownership, real-world complexity to tackle, and the chance to define both product experiences and the culture of design at one of India’s fastest-growing logistics SaaS startups.. 🌍 Why Shipmnts? You’ll be one of our first product designers — with full ownership of core features and systems. We don’t throw Figma files over the wall. You’ll work deeply with Product, Engineering, and CS to embed yourself in real user workflows . The problems are real, complex, and rich with design opportunity — from pricing engines and shipping documents to customs workflows and trade dashboards. You’ll be shaping our design systems, process, and culture — not just our UI. 🟠 How We Design at Shipmnts We follow a loop of Research → Shape Up → Design → Deploy → Feedback — and then back again. Our frameworks? Jobs To Be Done , First Principles, and deep ops-level immersion. We don’t “interview” users. We become them. Our tools? Whiteboards, fat marker sketches, detailed wireframes, Figma systems, quick prototypes, and live user sessions. Design is not siloed — we actively co-create with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and QA. 🟠 What You'll Be Doing Understand the jobs and motivations of global logistics users (exporters, forwarders, transporters, customs brokers). Translate real-world operations into simplified, user-centric flows and interfaces. Own the end-to-end UX — from early exploration and systems thinking to interaction details and polish. Build and evolve our design system for scale, speed, and coherence. Test fast, ship smart, and continuously improve what we’ve built . Help define what great design means at Shipmnts — not just what it looks like. 🟠 What You Bring 2+ years in UX/UI or product design (SaaS or enterprise/B2B preferred). A portfolio that shows how you think , not just what you shipped. Deep empathy and an obsession with simplifying complexity . Ability to think both big picture (flows, systems) and pixel detail (alignment, spacing, micro-interactions). Strong collaboration chops — you love jamming with product and engineering, and storytelling your design ideas.
