About The Role
We are looking for a Product Designer with strong UI + UX fundamentals who will play a key role in strengthening the Locus Design System, defining components, interactions, and patterns that scale across our entire product suite.What You’ll Work On
- Contribute directly to the Locus Design System components, patterns, tokens, documentation, and usage guidelines.
- Create clean, consistent, scalable UI aligned with design system foundations.
- Work on component states, variations, responsive behavior, and accessibility considerations.
- Support senior designers in shaping platform-level standards and improving system governance.
- Participate in user research and usability observations to inform component and pattern decisions.
- Document design rationale, edge cases, and guidelines clearly for designers and engineers.
- Contribute to end-to-end flows where needed, translating system components into polished product UI.
- Iterate quickly based on feedback while maintaining high visual and interaction craft.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of experience in product design or UI/UX design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing clean UI, visual hierarchy, spacing, and consistency.
- Good understanding of UX fundamentals: flows, states, IA, and interaction patterns.
- Hands-on proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, components, variables, prototyping).
- Strong interest in design systems structure, reuse, patterns, and scalable design thinking.
- Ability to write clear documentation for components and guidelines.
- Familiarity with responsive design and multi-platform UI considerations.
- Strong communication clear, concise, structured, and collaborative.
Bonus Skills
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
- Exposure to dashboards, workflow-heavy products, or enterprise SaaS.
- Understanding of accessibility basics (contrast, states, touch targets).
- Familiarity with engineering frameworks like MUI, Storybook, or Zeroheight.
- Interest in AI-first design tools (Figma Make, Lovable, Claude workflows, etc.).
