Procurement Buyer

Summary

• Preferably should have knowledge of techno-commercial purchase of Indirect material (IDM) and services related to HVAC industry in a Manufacturing setup; IDM such as MRO, Facility Management, Capex, Production consumables etc.
• Research/ source potential vendors for required goods & services (IDM).
• Managing vendors, suppliers to meet KPI related to cost & delivery.
• Vendor evaluation, negotiating contracts and preparing reports.
  

Responsibilities

• Study of Purchase Requisition- IDM.
• Sending RFI/ RFQ/ RFP (Request for Information/ Quotation/ Proposal) to different suppliers.
• Compare and evaluate techno-commercial offers from suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing & terms of agreement applicable to the Order and send Comparative statement for approval.
• Converting Purchase requisitions to Purchase Order in Buysmart/ SAP as per approved prices.
• Scheduling, tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery with regular follow-up.
• Co-ordinate with Stores for on-time GRN and proper storage.
• Monitor stock levels of consumables, hardware, and other c class items; place orders as needed to ensure availability.
• Monitoring of pending payment of supplier & co-ordinate with accounts department of timely release of payment.
• New vendor onboarding- Co-ordinate with new supplier for required documentation; create vendor add request in MDG after receipt of required approvals from procurement and documents from supplier.
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
• Prepare reports on purchase, including cost analysis, spend analysis, inventory analysis etc.
• Rejection handling- Communicate to Supplier, tracking return material, informing supplier on returned material. Timey replacement of rejected material.
  

Requirements

• Should possess 5+ years’ experience in Procurement; preferably in Manufacturing/ HVAC domain.
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors).
• Should have exposure to ISO standards & procedures.
• Hands-on experience with ERP – SAP/ Buysmart.
• Proficiency in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
• Understanding of overall supply chain procedures.
• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
• Negotiation skills.
• Any Graduate preferably Diploma/Degree in Engineering.
