Procurement Buyer

You will be responsible for procurement activities as a Procurement Buyer at VES, located in Faridabad, India. Your role will involve purchasing goods, materials, and services to meet the operational needs of the company, considering factors such as price, quality, and delivery to ensure a continuous supply. It is essential to adhere to all company and department policies and procedures, with a primary focus on safety. Your key duties and responsibilities will include purchasing goods in accordance with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets, supporting the purchasing function and other relevant departments by addressing any supply issues that may impact business operations, acting as a liaison between suppliers and various departments, monitoring market trends and competitor strategies, negotiating contracts, improving prices and terms with suppliers, and identifying opportunities for cost savings through negotiation and procurement best practices. Additionally, you will be required to determine appropriate safety stock levels, forecast components, ensure compliance with company guidelines, purchasing policies, and OJEU guidance during supplier negotiations and contract awards. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with 2-3 years of relevant experience (preferably in the Oil and Gas industry), knowledge of ERP, SAP, MS Office Excel, and experience in procurement of API 5CT pipes seamless, API audits, BOP parts, and supplier audits.
