Job Summary:

Process Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and revise
Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
and
Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Perform
process simulations
and calculations for design and optimization using tools such as
Aspen HYSYS, ProMax, or ChemCAD
Collaborate with Process Engineers to design process systems aligned with project specifications and safety requirements
Prepare technical deliverables including:
Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Valve Lists
Control narratives and process datasheets for instruments and equipment
Conduct design reviews (HAZOP, SIL, etc.) and participate in
interdisciplinary coordination meetings
Ensure compliance with
API, ASME, ISA, ISO
, and client-specific standards
Coordinate with piping, instrumentation, and electrical design teams
Support procurement by reviewing vendor drawings and technical offers
Assist in commissioning and troubleshooting during the construction phase, as needed

Requirements:

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Process Design or equivalent

Experience:

5–10 years of relevant experience in
process design for oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or energy projects
Exposure to FEED and EPC project phases is preferred

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in process simulation tools:
Aspen HYSYS, Pro II, or equivalent
Experience in
AutoCAD, SmartPlant P&ID, AVEVA Diagrams
, or similar tools
Knowledge of
PFDs, P&IDs, Material Balance, Heat & Mass Transfer
Strong understanding of international
codes and standards
(API, ANSI, ASME, etc.)

Soft Skills:

Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team
Attention to detail and analytical thinking
