About the Role:

Private Equity / Venture Capital Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, structuring, and negotiations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with promoters and management teams of investee companies, acting as a strategic advisor.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance, ensuring timely updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement value creation opportunities by leveraging your network — e.g., introducing CFOs, consultants, industry experts, and strategic partners.
• Conduct thorough market and sector analysis to identify emerging trends and new investment opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive strategic initiatives and portfolio optimization.

Key Requirements:

• Proven track record in private equity or venture capital investing, with demonstrated experience in deal evaluation and negotiation.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to apply first principles thinking to assess sectors, business models, and growth potential.
• Excellent relationship management skills to work closely with promoters, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Robust professional network across industries and functional areas to enable value creation.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree (MBA/CA/CFA) is preferred.
