Job Title: Principal Solutions Architect Role: to deliver faster, smarter, better business outcomes for our clients & partners. Other applicable levels for this role: What are we looking for? This entrepreneurial technology consultant position challenges the client status quo by helping them re-imagine the art of what is possible using a consulting mindset and business strategy skills. This role will be pivotal in driving the architecture and execution of cloud migration, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect with deep expertise in GCP/AWS Cloud to design, implement, and manage innovative cloud solutions for our enterprise clients by working closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, engineering, and operations to drive successful project outcomes. Thrives in aligning people most of the time and may be great at it, but not awesome at *doing things*. Roles and Responsibilities: Set the technical direction and roadmap for complex solutions, aligning with Searce's and clients' long-term business objectives and technology strategies. This includes evolving current platforms towards modernized, cloud-native architectures. Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies, AI/ML advancements, data trends, and industry best practices. Provide thought leadership, experiment with new offerings, and define best practices for cloud, automation, and DevOps. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other architects, development teams, and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Act as a trusted advisor to Searce's clients, engaging at senior executive and enterprise architect levels to understand their mission needs, influence their cloud journey, and help them realize tangible business value. Design comprehensive, robust, scalable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions for clients, considering factors like performance, security, reliability, and maintainability. This often involves designing hybrid cloud deployments, on-premise-to-cloud migrations, and modern infrastructure solutions. Technical Blueprint Creation: Create detailed technical blueprints for solutions, specifying components, their interactions, and the overall architecture. Technology Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, open-source frameworks, microservices architectures, various databases) that best meet client needs and align with existing architecture. Design solutions that leverage cloud services, automation (e.g., Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible), and modern architectural patterns (e.g., Kubernetes, containers, serverless). Drive Go-To-Market (GTM) for the assigned market/geographies. Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution design & development, proposal writing, client presentations, closures & preparing SOW. Drive a HAPPIER culture of constant improvement, identifying and implementing processes helping establish searce as the best suited software engineering partner. Education & Experience Is Education overrated? Yes. We believe so. However there is no way to locate you otherwise. So we might be looking for at least a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from a reputed institute or you should be programming from 12. And the latter is better along with: Passion to tech-awesome, insatiable desire to learn the latest of the new-age cloud tech, highly analytical aptitude and a strong ‘desire to deliver’ outlives those fancy degrees! 8+ years of Solutions Architect experience with GCP/AWS and hybrid cloud solutions. Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps. Experience in network infrastructure, security, and application development. Experience in building, architecting, designing, and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems. Experience in technology solutions, the enterprise technology buying/evaluation process, and large-scale computing solutions. Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and infrastructure as code.
