Reporting directly to the Board of Governors or Management Committee, the Principal is responsible for driving strategic vision, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality education aligned with national and international standards. The Principal oversees curriculum implementation, staff performance, student welfare, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the school’s strategic vision, mission, and long-term goals in alignment with educational standards and institutional values.
- Lead and mentor faculty and staff to ensure high performance, professional growth, and adherence to teaching standards.
- Oversee curriculum design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation processes to ensure academic excellence and continuous improvement.
- Monitor student achievement, behavior, and well-being through data-driven insights and proactive intervention strategies.
- Manage school operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, facilities maintenance, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the school, parents, community stakeholders, and government education authorities.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes diversity, equity, and student engagement.
- Lead accreditation processes, school evaluations, and external audits with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Promote innovation in teaching methodologies, technology integration, and extracurricular programs.
- Represent the school at regional and national education forums, conferences, and collaborative initiatives.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience in an educational institution, including at least 2 years in a senior administrative or principal role.
- Proven track record of improving academic outcomes, staff development, and school performance.
- In-depth knowledge of national and state-level education policies, curriculum frameworks, and accreditation standards (e.g., NCERT, CBSE, ICSE, or international curricula).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire teams and manage diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and data-informed decision-making.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning.
- Proficiency in educational technology tools and digital platforms for teaching, assessment, and administration.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and manage crisis situations with composure and effectiveness.
- Valid teaching certification and experience in classroom instruction are highly desirable.
