Job Description An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Career Level - IC3 Responsibilities Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May act as the team lead on projects. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects. Key Requirements: Must be comfortable engaging at all levels within customers and partner organizations. Must be comfortable and able to answer on-the-spot technical questions you may not have the answers to. Translate customer requirements and IT strategies into deliverable solutions and transformation plans. Develop solution architectures and proposals to satisfy customer IT needs. Participate in technology pilot projects or Proof of Value (POV) activities alongside our customers and partners. Define statements of work that include all of the customer’s project requirements needed to successfully complete the project and define the accurate amount of time required to complete the project. Work alongside partners and other third party organizations as required. Represent Oracle to customers during both on-site and remote engagement activities. Lead the delivery of ‘Oracle on Oracle’ solutions to customers. Support and develop existing customer and partner relationships and skills. Accurately and clearly document all project work done for the customer and provide all documentation to the customer in a timely manner. Help drive sales opportunities to successful completion by assisting the pre-sales teams. Promote the value of future professional services to the customer. Excellent communication and presentation skills over phone, email, webcast, video and public conference. Experience & Technical Skills: Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. More than 5 years’ experience in systems architecture, systems design, and systems administration in an enterprise setting. Experience as a Project Manager/Team Leader and consultant Strong technical knowledge in Linux is a must. Strong technical knowledge in Virtualization platform: e.g. Xen/KVM/oVirt Strong technical knowledge in networking. Ability to automate tasks with scripting tools: e.g. Bash/Python/etc. Demonstrable technical curiosity in keeping abreast with new technologies, especially in Open Source Software. Experience with Containerization, e.g. Kubernetes and Docker. Good working knowledge of Open Source tools, e.g. Ansible/Chef/Puppet/Github. Good conceptual knowledge of DevOps, Big Data, IoT; working knowledge will be an advantage. Good knowledge of software defined storage and networking. Possession of industry recognized certifications in Linux, Virtualization, Docker or similar is highly preferred. Strong technical solution background with good specialization in one or more areas of the following: Private/Hybrid cloud, Servers, Networking, Storage, BCDR. Oracle product(s) knowledge, e.g. Oracle database, Oracle middleware is an advantage. Language: Proficient in communicating with stakeholders in business English.
