Job Role:


Apeejay Education is seeking a visionary and accomplished leader to head its IB School in Panchsheel Park, New Delhi. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in transforming the school into a center of excellence for IB education in India, driving academic innovation, operational efficiency, and enrollment growth.


Job Responsibilities:


1. Curriculum Leadership and Academic Excellence

  • Oversee the effective implementation of the IB continuum (PYP, MYP, DP), ensuring alignment with IB standards and practices.
  • Promote and integrate research-based teaching practices to foster a culture of inquiry, critical thinking, and innovation.
  • Equip students to excel in a globally competitive environment by aligning curriculum and pedagogy with international benchmarks.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning to achieve academic excellence.


2. People Management and Development

  • Build and nurture a high-performing team of educators by providing mentorship, professional development opportunities, and performance management.
  • Groom employees with potential for critical positions including for succession planning.
  • Foster collaboration among staff to create an environment that values creativity and accountability.
  • Lead initiatives to recruit, retain, and develop top IB teaching talent to sustain the school’s reputation for excellence.


3. Holistic Development of Students

  • Champion programs that promote the intellectual, emotional, and social development of students in line with the IB philosophy.
  • Encourage participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to foster creativity, leadership, and well-roundedness.
  • Prepare students to meet the challenges of a globalized world by developing resilience, adaptability, and cultural competence.
  • Ensure processes are implemented for envisaged results in respect of Human Learning, Inculcation of Values and character building, Career, Psychological counseling and taking care of children with special needs.


4. Administrative Leadership

  • Manage school operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and infrastructure development, to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Implement efficient administrative systems and processes to support the school’s vision and objectives.
  • Work closely with the management to align school goals with the strategic vision of Apeejay Education.


5. Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure adherence to IB policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment for students and staff.
  • Stay updated with changes in IB policies and integrate them seamlessly into the school’s functioning.


6. Admissions and Community Engagement

  • Develop and execute effective strategies to boost student enrollment and maintain a vibrant and diverse student community.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, alumni, and stakeholders to enhance the school’s reputation.
  • Represent the school in external forums and IB networks to strengthen its standing as a leader in IB education.


7. Promoting Global Competitiveness

  • Ensure that students are well-prepared to compete and excel in international platforms and global challenges.
  • Incorporate global perspectives into the curriculum to nurture future-ready individuals with a strong sense of global citizenship.
  • Encourage innovative projects, research-based learning, and participation in international competitions and programs.


Key Skills & Competencies:


  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the IB curriculum (PYP, MYP, DP).
  • Proven track record of driving academic excellence, holistic development, and enrollment growth.
  • Strong understanding of research-based educational practices and global education trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Passion for fostering a progressive, inclusive, and globally competitive learning environment.


Qualification & Experience:


  • Excellent academic track record
  • A minimum of 12-25 years of experience in leadership roles at IB schools.
