Job Title: Academic Primary Coordinator

Reports to: Principal / Head of School

Job Summary:

The Academic Primary Coordinator plays a key leadership role in planning, implementing, and monitoring the academic programs for the Primary School. The role involves curriculum coordination, teacher mentoring, academic planning, and fostering an engaging, inclusive, and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Planning & Curriculum Coordination

  • Oversee the implementation of the curriculum (CBSE/IB/Cambridge, as applicable) for Grades 1–5.
  • Ensure age-appropriate lesson planning and alignment with academic standards.
  • Monitor teaching methodologies to ensure differentiation and inclusivity.
  • Coordinate subject-wise integration and inter-disciplinary projects.
  • Facilitate development and regular review of curriculum documents, lesson plans, and teaching aids.

Teacher Support & Development

  • Mentor, guide, and supervise primary school teachers.
  • Organize and lead professional development sessions and workshops.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support new teachers with induction and mentoring programs.

Student Performance & Assessment

  • Monitor and analyze student academic performance across grades.
  • Standardize and oversee formative and summative assessments.
  • Work with teachers to create academic interventions and enrichment programs for diverse learners.
  • Encourage innovative evaluation techniques.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Act as a bridge between teachers, school leadership, and parents.
  • Organize and lead Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
  • Collaborate with coordinators from other wings (Middle, High School) for curriculum continuity.
  • Prepare and submit academic reports to management.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Create academic calendars and timetables in consultation with the Principal.
  • Maintain records of lesson observations, assessment data, and teacher performance.
  • Participate in the recruitment and appraisal of teaching staff.
  • Support in organizing school-wide academic events, exhibitions, and competitions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education or related field.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience with 2–3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in CBSE/IB/Cambridge curriculum (as applicable to the school).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
