Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder Executive to handle export operations in the agro commodities sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing international shipments, ensuring smooth logistics operations, and liaising with shipping lines, customs agents, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Freight & Logistics Coordination:

    Manage end-to-end freight forwarding processes for agro commodity exports.

  • Documentation & Compliance:

    Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and other export documentation.

  • Liaison with Stakeholders:

    Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, transporters, and suppliers for smooth cargo movement.

  • Customs & Regulatory Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, Incoterms, and export policies.

  • Shipment Tracking & Reporting:

    Track shipments and update internal teams and clients on shipment status.

  • Cost & Freight Negotiation:

    Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines and transporters to optimize costs.

  • Problem-Solving:

    Resolve shipping delays, documentation discrepancies, and customs clearance issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.Com / Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
  • Minimum

    3+ years of experience

    in export freight forwarding.
  • Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs clearance, and international shipping regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and shipping software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in handling bulk shipments of agro or other commodities.
  • Strong network with shipping lines, CHA, and transporters.
