Key Responsibilities

Dashboard & Report Development

Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated interactive Power BI dashboards and reports

Create compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to diverse audiences

Develop self-service analytics solutions enabling business users to explore data independently

Build automated reporting systems with scheduled refreshes and alert mechanisms

Data Architecture & Modeling

Design and optimize complex data models, relationships, and hierarchies for efficient reporting

Create advanced DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs to support business requirements

Implement incremental data refresh strategies and optimize query performance

Establish data lineage documentation and maintain data dictionaries

Data Integration & Management

Integrate data from diverse sources including SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, REST APIs, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and SaaS applications

Design and implement robust ETL/ELT processes using Power Query and other data transformation tools

Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish efficient data pipelines

Ensure data quality through validation rules, error handling, and monitoring processes

Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

Partner with business stakeholders, executives, and department heads to understand analytical needs

Translate complex business requirements into technical BI solutions and user stories

Conduct requirement gathering sessions and create detailed functional specifications

Facilitate user acceptance testing and gather feedback for continuous improvement

Data Governance & Security

Implement comprehensive row-level security (RLS) and column-level security measures

Establish data governance frameworks ensuring compliance with organizational policies

Maintain audit trails and implement change management processes

Ensure GDPR, SOX, and other regulatory compliance requirements are met

Performance Optimization & Scalability

Monitor and optimize Power BI workspace performance, including dataset refresh times

Implement best practices for large-scale deployments and enterprise-grade solutions

Conduct capacity planning and resource optimization for Power BI Premium environments

Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement caching strategies

Support

Develop comprehensive training materials and conduct Power BI workshops for end-users

Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance

Create and maintain user documentation, best practice guides, and knowledge base articles

Mentor junior analysts and promote data literacy across the organization

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Stay current with latest Power BI features, Microsoft Fabric capabilities, and industry trends

Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance BI capabilities

Drive innovation through proof-of-concepts and pilot projects

Participate in Power BI community forums and user groups

Technical Expertise

Power BI Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Service, and Mobile

DAX & Power Query: Advanced skills in DAX programming, Power Query (M language), and data transformation

Data Modeling: Strong expertise in dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and data warehouse concepts

SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills for complex data extraction, transformation, and analysis

Database Systems: Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL

ETL/ELT Tools: Hands-on experience with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or similar platforms

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
