Job Description

Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain visually compelling and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports.
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Implement advanced Power BI features such as DAX, Power Query, bookmarks, drill-through, and row-level security.
Optimize data models and queries for performance and scalability.
Integrate Power BI with various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, and cloud-based platforms.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
Expertise in writing complex DAX expressions and creating calculated columns/measures.
Solid understanding of data modelling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema).
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Experience with data visualization best practices and storytelling through data.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Experience with Power BI administration and workspace management.
Microsoft certifications related to Power BI or data analytics.
