THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Platform Innovation Specialist to join our growing Product Strategy team at Xactly. Dive into an exciting role, developing, iterating, and evangelizing innovative prototype solutions on the Xactly platform. You'll play a pivotal role in addressing the complex business challenges faced by our customers and prospects. Rapidly designing and building solutions on Xactly’s composable development platform will be your forte, bringing creative solutions to life. In addition, you'll collaborate across teams, providing invaluable insights and feedback to shape our platform while facilitating a seamless transition of prototypes to R&D teams when the time is right.
THE SKILL SET
- Collaborate with internal teams, including strategy, product management, engineering, solution consulting, customer success, and professional services to gather comprehensive requirements and insights into business challenges
- Rapidly develop high-quality application prototypes on the Xactly platform, turning concepts and ideas into tangible, interactive demonstrations
- Assist in the assessment and enhancement of the Rapid Prototype Framework for maximum efficiency and effectiveness
- Present and evangelize the prototypes you create, articulating the vision, functionality, and benefits of the applications to both internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare the Solutions Consultant for application demos and contribute valuable information to the Professional Services team for accurate project scoping
- Identify and escalate risks, providing alternative technical and functional approaches when necessary
- Contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to drive excellence
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines)
- Proven track record with a minimum of 2 years in solution consulting, solution architecture, or a related position
- Strong proficiency in SQL and a solid foundation in data modeling and database management
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A passion for rapid prototyping and a talent for translating abstract ideas into interactive, user-friendly prototypes
- Adaptability and a proactive attitude, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments
- Demonstrated excellence in managing multiple tasks simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines, even in the face of conflicting demands
- The capacity to evangelize and present your prototypes effectively, showcasing their potential and benefits
- Collaborative spirit and the ability to work closely with product managers, engineers, and other team members to drive innovation and a seamless transition from prototype to development
- Enthusiastic and passionate about technology and innovation
- Previous experience with platform application prototyping or application development is a plus
- Knowledge of Sales Planning, Sales Forecasting, Incentive Compensation and related domains would be an asset
