About the Role

This position is responsible for the overall management and leadership of a manufacturing unit. It ensures that the plant operates efficiently, safely, and meets production targets while adhering to quality standards and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Production Management:

  Oversee and manage all aspects of production, including production planning, scheduling, and quality control to meet production targets and ensure product quality.

• Resource Management:

  Efficiently manage plant resources, including manpower, machinery and materials to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste.

• Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction:

  Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain product quality and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Maintain effective communication with other departments and stakeholders, and ensure products meet customer expectations in terms of quality, quantity, and timeliness.

• Inventory Management:

  Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate materials are available for production while minimizing excess inventory and associated carrying costs.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Drive continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing practices, and process optimization to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.

• Maintenance and Asset Management:

  Coordinate plant maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and functionality of machinery and equipment.

• Technical know-how:

  Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards. Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.

• Meeting environmental compliances:

  Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices where applicable.

• Employee skill Improvement:

  Train, and manage plant personnel, ensuring a well-trained and motivated workforce. Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.

• Report making & presenting:

  Generate and present regular reports on production performance, quality, safety, and other relevant key performance indicators to the senior management.

Qualifications

BE / B Tech with 20 years of experience in the production of LT Cable (E-Beam expertise is mandatory).

5 Material Accountability - Inventory variation by value in RM / FG / WIP

6 Safe/Accident Free Workplace (audit thru third party)

Pay range and compensation package

60 to 80 LPA.
