Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic plant head to lead our alloy steel manufacturing plant in Durgapur, West Bengal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, planning, administration, and more. The plant Head will play a key role in ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, meeting production targets, and maintain high-quality standards while driving operational excellence. key Responsibilities: * plant operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments. * Production Management: Manage production schedules, ensure adherence to production plans, and optimize production capacity to meet customer demands and company goals. * Quality control: Implement and monitor stringent quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of product quality in line with industry regulations. * Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of department heads and staff. Foster a collaborative, positive work culture and ensure the team is well-trained and motivated to achieve performance goals. * Planning & Forecasting: Develop and implement productions plans forecasts to optimize resource utilization, manage inventory levels, and achieve production targets. * Health, safety, and Compliance: Ensure plant operations are in compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations. * Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare and manage plant budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost- saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. * Administration & Reporting: Oversee administrative functions, including HR, procurement, and logistic . Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with internal and external audits. * Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work on implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve product quality. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, production, or related field); Master's degree is a plus . * Minimum of10-15 years of experience in plant operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the alloy steel manufacturing industry or similar heavy manufacturing sectors. * Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and supply chain management. * Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving production targets in a manufacturing setting. * Experience in managing large teams and coordinating cross-functional departments. * Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, environmental compliance, and quality standards. * Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and decision- making skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
