Purchase Manager

We are a leading alloy steel manufacturing unit committed to quality, innovation, and integrity. Our operations require the highest standards in procurement management to ensure smooth and cost-effective production of alloy steel. We are now looking for a Purchase Manager with strong ethics, industry-specific experience, and a deep understanding of materials and processes related to steel manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the procurement of raw materials, consumables, and ancillary products required for steel and alloy steel production. Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery timelines. Negotiate contracts and build long-term relationships with reliable vendors. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays. Work closely with the Production and Quality Assurance teams to ensure material compatibility and compliance. Monitor market trends and stay updated on pricing and availability of critical inputs such as ferro alloys, refractories, electrodes, and other key inputs. Adhere to strict ethical and legal standards in all procurement activities. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in a steel manufacturing company is mandatory . In-depth knowledge of steel-making processes and ancillary products such as refractories, electrodes, ferroalloys, lubricants, and scrap materials. Strong negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple procurement processes under tight deadlines. Must be trustworthy, transparent, and demonstrate high integrity in all dealings. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
