Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership

Direct daily operations across production, maintenance, quality control, and safety to achieve production targets within time, quality, and cost standards. This includes managing resource allocation—people, machinery, and materials—and optimizing overall plant efficiency.

• Safety and Compliance

Enforce stringent safety policies and environmental regulations. Oversee audits, manage hazard mitigation, and establish compliant systems and SOPs to ensure safe and lawful operations.

• Team and Stakeholder Management

Lead, train, and mentor teams of engineers, technicians, and operators. Coordinate with internal departments (R&D, QA, HR, Supply Chain) and external parties such as government agencies, vendors, and certification bodies.

• Continuous Improvement

Drive performance improvements through lean manufacturing, de-bottlenecking processes, and productivity-enhancement initiatives. Implement quality systems and corrective actions to reduce waste and elevate yields.

• Project Execution & Maintenance

Oversee greenfield project setups, expansions, or upgrades. Plan and control project execution, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment refurbishment.

• Financial Oversight

Manage production budgets, control operational costs, and drive cost efficiencies. Monitor performance metrics like yield, wastage, operating expenses, and optimize OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency).

• Reporting & Documentation

Prepare and present daily/monthly reports and MIS. Ensure documentation compliance, manage change controls, and coordinate quality investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required

• Experience:

7+ years of proven experience in petrochemical or chemical plant operations. Experience leading greenfield projects or complex plant setups is highly desirable.

Core Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of petrochemical processes and manufacturing equipment.
• Strong leadership with team management, interpersonal, and communication capabilities.
• Proficiency in cost control, productivity analysis, and operational excellence techniques.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and quality systems.
• Track record of implementing continuous improvement and operating large-scale facilities effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per year
