Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Planning Manager to lead our planning department. This role involves overseeing mechanical project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and process optimization to ensure efficient project delivery. A strong leader with expertise in mechanical engineering, project management, and manufacturing is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning:

  Develop and implement planning strategies aligned with company goals.

• Project Management:

  Oversee project planning and scheduling, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality.

• Resource Allocation:

  Optimize allocation of resources (human, machinery, materials) for maximum productivity.

• Process Optimization:

  Continuously improve planning processes and workflows.

• Team Leadership:

  Lead and mentor planning engineers and technicians.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  Liaise with engineering, production, procurement, and quality control.

• Risk Management:

  Identify and mitigate planning risks.

• Performance Monitoring:

  Monitor and report on departmental KPIs.

• Technology Integration:

  Recommend new planning tools and software.

• Documentation:

  Ensure accurate documentation of planning activities.

Qualifications

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (Master's a plus).

• Experience:

  7-9 years in mechanical/production planning/project management in manufacturing/fabrication, with 3-5 years in a managerial role.

• Technical Skills:

  Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), ERP/MRP systems, mechanical design, fabrication, and CAD/CAM.

• Soft Skills:

  Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage pressure and multiple priorities.
