We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Technical Developer with strong expertise in HCM (Human Capital Management) and FSCM (Financials & Supply Chain Management) modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting PeopleSoft applications to meet business requirements while ensuring system stability, scalability, and performance.This role requires deep technical knowledge of People Tools, integration technologies, and application upgrade strategies. The developer will collaborate closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and DBAs to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy technical solutions in PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM modules.
- Provide technical support and enhancements for major modules including Time & Labor, Absence Management, Payroll, Benefits, Core HR, General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Work on People Tools development including Application Engine, People Code, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, SQR, BI Publisher, Application Packages, and Fluid UI.
- Collaborate with functional analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Perform technical impact analysis for new features, patches, and upgrades.
- Support PeopleSoft upgrades (PUM image application, People Tools upgrades, custom retrofitting).
- Develop and support interfaces, conversions, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with best practices, coding standards, and security requirements.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve system defects.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across HCM, FSCM, and external systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and unit test cases.
- Familiarity with Phire Change Management system for tracking, versioning, and promoting PeopleSoft objects across environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on technical experience with PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM modules.
- Strong proficiency in People Tools 8.5x/8.6x, People Code, Application Engine, Application Designer, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, and SQR.
- Experience with Fluid UI development and responsive design.
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Security, BI Publisher, Approval Framework (AWE), and Workflow.
- Strong expertise in creating and maintaining interfaces with third-party systems (using REST, SOAP, File-based integrations, etc.).
- Experience with PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) and retrofitting customizations during upgrades.
- Strong SQL/Oracle Database skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
- Proven experience supporting full development lifecycle : requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is a plus.
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud hosting platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps) and automated deployment frameworks.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Phire).
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
