We are Hiring for Payroll Processing Manager for our Electronics Manufacturing Component in Chennai Oragadam.
We need candidates only from Automotive / Manufacturing / EMS / Pharma / Healthcare Industries / Tyre and Polymer Industries
The Payroll Processing Executive is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll and ensuring full statutory compliance. The role requires strong knowledge of salary structuring, TDS calculation, income tax exemption categories, and statutory remittances. The position demands hands-on experience in managing end-to-end payroll independently within a manufacturing environment while coordinating closely with the Finance team for reconciliation and statutory payments
Process monthly payroll by validating attendance, leave, bonuses, allowances, overtime, and deductions.
Maintain payroll data and update employee master records in the system.
Ensure statutory compliance including PF, ESI, PT, and TDS.
Calculate monthly TDS on salary based on annual taxable income, slab rates, cess, exemptions, and deductions.
Apply income tax exemption categories such as HRA, LTA, Standard Deduction, Housing Loan Benefits, Investment Deductions, Medical Insurance, Education Loan Interest, Donations, NPS, etc.
Verify and record employee investment declarations and proof submissions for TDS computation.
Generate payroll reports for the HR and Finance departments and support monthly reconciliation.
Coordinate with the Finance team for salary disbursement and statutory remittances.
Prepare and file statutory returns within timelines for PF, ESI, PT, and TDS
Address employee queries related to payslips, salary components, TDS, and deductions.
Support statutory, internal, and external audits by providing payroll related documentation.
Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of employee and salary
Hands-on experience with payroll software (SAP / Workday / ADP / Digisme
Strong knowledge of TDS calculation on salary and income tax exemption categories under the Income Tax Act.
Strong understanding of statutory laws including Factory Act, PF, ESI, PT, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act.
Advanced MS Excel skills VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, and logical functions.
High accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
