Pastry Chef

Position: Pastry Chef (4-Bakery Chain)

Location: Multiple bakeries in Kerala (occasional travel between outlets)
Company: Aeden Fruits International Pvt Ltd

Salary Range : ₹17,000 – ₹25,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pastry production in all 4 bakeries: ensuring consistency in taste, texture, appearance, and quality.
• Develop & execute new recipes, seasonal or special items (cakes, mousses, tarts, dessert specials) in line with customer trends.
• Manage import or procurement of specialty ingredients required for pastries (vanilla beans, couverture chocolate, etc.).
• Coordinate import documentation if needed for specialty ingredients.
• Schedule & supervise pastry operations: timing, staffing, equipment usage.
• Training & supervising junior pastry staff at all locations to maintain standards.
• Maintain inventory of pastry raw materials; ensure stock levels, cost control, minimize wastage.
• Ensure hygiene, food safety & quality standards are met (e.g. HACCP, local FSSAI / Kerala regulations).
• Manage display, packaging, presentation of pastries; ensure attractive presentation in each store.
• Assist with allocation & planning: production targets, schedules, cross-bakery support.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Certification or diploma in Pastry Arts / Bakery / Culinary (or strong hands-on experience).
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in pastry work, preferably with multi-outlet exposure.
• Strong creative & aesthetic sense: decoration, plating, dessert artistry.
• Good communication skills in English and Malayalam.
• Strong time management & ability to work under deadlines.
• Ability to travel between bakery outlets and manage logistical coordination.
• Experience with import / procurement documentation is a plus.
• Good leadership skills: supervising teams, training.
