Job Title: Chef – Customised Cakes (Fondant & Designer Work)

Location: Demould Central Kitchen, Mayapuri

Salary: Based on skill & experience

Shift: 6 days a week (festive periods may require additional hours)

About the Role

Demould is looking for a highly skilled and artistic Customised Cake Chef who is passionate about crafting detailed, beautiful, and delicious cakes. The ideal candidate will have professional-level fondant skills, a strong understanding of cake sponges, fillings, and the ability to work with a variety of decorative mediums to bring customer visions to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create

  customised cakes

  as per client briefs (including birthdays, weddings, themed cakes, corporate orders, etc.)
• Work with

  fondant, buttercream, ganache, modelling chocolate, royal icing

  and other decorative mediums
• Bake and assemble a wide variety of

  cake sponges and fillings

  with consistent quality
• Maintain a high standard of

  finishing, cleanliness, and aesthetics

  in every cake
• Understand and execute complex

  design references and customer customisation requests

• Collaborate with the sales/design team to assess feasibility and timelines for orders
• Maintain freshness and shelf-life standards while prepping components in advance
• Handle pressure during festive and high-volume days with

  patience and calmness

• Keep track of inventory and materials used for cake decoration
• Participate in trials and R&D for new trending cake designs and techniques

Who You Are

• Minimum 4-5

  years of hands-on experience

  in custom/fondant cake production
• Expert in

  fondant and detailed cake decoration work

  (flowers, figurines, textures, sharp edges, etc.)
• Strong understanding of

  cake sponge types, fillings, layering and structure stability

• Highly creative with an

  eye for detail, colour, and proportion

• Calm, patient, and quality-focused – able to work with tight timelines without compromising finish
• Updated with the latest trends in cake design, mediums, and tools
• Team player, open to feedback and new techniques
• Good communication skills to understand and clarify order briefs
