Job Title :Deputy Manager - Packaging Design, Development and Project Management Job Location Gurgaon Educational Qualification: B. E / B.tech - (Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Automobile) Post Graduation in Packaging Technology - Full time (preferably) Work Experience: 3.9-6 Years in treasury activities. Experience in Packaging in any industry, preferably in Auto OEM Job Responsibilities 1. Design and develop safe, sturdy, transit-worthy (Domestic & Export) and cost-effective packaging for the Automobile components and consumables through IT-enables solutions like UG-NX , Auto-CAD etc. as per the business requirement within the given timelines. 2. Facility Planning & set-up :- Preparation of Equipment specification, layouts, procurement of items involving Techno-commercial evaluation through tendering process, installation & commissioning 3. Working with key functions such as Supply chain, KD operations ( Export & Import ) , Quality Assurance, Logistics etc. to design packaging through the use of appropriate structural analysis, test methods, design simulations, feasibility trials and business case processes. 4. Creating packaging material drawings and specifications for each new packaging material. 5. Conduct packaging material /process VA-VE to meet cost saving targets, Indian and Global regulatory changes and Quality improvement and generating Packaging Change Notice. 6. Understanding and updating of packaging requirements for both Export & Import as per latest Indian regulations / UN guidelines. 7. Creating packaging related SOPs and Work Instructions Competencies / Skills Technical/ Functional: 1. Domain knowledge of packaging design and operation processes for export and domestic requirements. 2. Ability to understand technical and commercial requirements for set-up of Packaging operation shop & to evaluate alternatives with Cost-benefit analysis 3. Hands on experience on facility set-up related to packing / unpacking operation 4. Design concepts preparation through IT software solutions like UG-NX, Auto-CAD etc. and their application. 5. Knowledge of various types of corrugated packaging materials like cartons, pads etc., alternate of plastic packaging , steel cases, wooden cases and containers. 6. Familiar with softwares such as Uni-graphics, Auto-cad, Factory-CAD 7. Ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process at supplier end 8. Strategic Thinking & Strong execution orientation and problem solving approach 9. Hands on experience of tendering process, technical evaluation, design approval with suppliers and import activities. 10. ECN/ECR feasibility check, necessary arrangements and its smooth implementation.
