1. Job Title: Senior Engineer (Packaging & Sustainability)
2. Experience: 6-10 years
3. Qualification : BE in Mechanical / Printing Technology / Industrial Engineering

4. Sustainable Packaging Innovation

5. Spearhead the development of next-generation packaging solutions aligned with global sustainability goals and client-specific requirements meeting EU regulations, TAPPI, ISO, ISTA-6A, ISPM-15 standards
6. Lead ideation workshops and design reviews using advanced CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, Creo, Adobe Illustrator,

   Artios CAD

   ) to foster innovation and design excellence
7. Lead concept-to-prototype development of packaging solutions using SolidWorks, Creo, Artios CAD, and Adobe Illustrator.
8. Deliver ISTA-6A Transport ready packaging solutions- 100% plastic-free packaging designs that are 45% lighter, 56% more compact, and reusable up to 4 cycles for heavy duty electrical products, panels, and 1.5 tonnes of Modular data centre packaging
9. Replace single-use plastics with biodegradable, recyclable and reusable packaging solutions
10. Conduct packaging validation, testing, and quantification for global clients as per ISTA, ASTM,ISO and IS standards.
11. Ensure compliance with international standards and support technical documentation for audits and certifications

12. Business Impact & Value Engineering

13. Lead cost optimization initiatives through packaging redesign, material substitution, and process improvements
14. Deliver measurable business outcomes including weight reduction, volume optimization, and value engineering with potential cost savings across multiple product lines

15. Global Compliance & Testing Management

16. Oversee packaging validation and compliance for US, European, and APMEA markets
17. Establish testing protocols, test reports and quality standards in collaboration with certified labs and regulatory bodies

22. Manage cross-functional collaboration with design, procurement, sustainability, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution
23. Lead vendor scouting, development, and audit processes to build a robust and compliant supply chain ecosystem

i. Champion the integration of LCA tools to assess and reduce Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) across packaging portfolios

ii. Develop and implement 100% plastic-free, biodegradable, and reusable packaging systems, setting benchmarks for industry compliance (ISTA-6A,ISO regulations) to develop transport ready solutions from concept to validation till final commercialization

1. Documentation & Knowledge Management

i. Develop SOPs, technical documentation, and sustainability reports for internal and client use

ii. Maintain knowledge repositories and contribute to organizational learning and capability building

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training

i. Coordinate with design, procurement, and sustainability teams to align packaging with product requirements.

ii. Mentor and train a class of 20+ professionals in Sustainable Management Technology and LCA tools (e.g., SiGreen Siemens, One Click LCA).
