Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Perform tuning, configuration, installation, upgrading, and patching of database server and replication software to ensure seamless system performance and security.
Evaluate new database features and products for potential implementation to optimize performance, reliability, and compatibility with existing infrastructure.
Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures to ensure business continuity and prevent data loss in case of failures.
Implement and manage database security, including user roles and privilege assignments to restrict unauthorized access and maintain data integrity.
Conduct database and replication software tuning and performance monitoring to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
Analyze database logs to identify and resolve potential performance issues before they escalate and impact system functionality.
Execute capacity planning to accommodate future database growth and changes in alignment with business needs and technology upgrades.
Provide general troubleshooting and consultation on SQL tuning and PL/SQL optimization to assist development teams with efficient database queries.
Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure database efficiency by optimizing indexes, query performance, and storage utilization.
Work in coordination with helpdesk teams for database monitoring, upgrades, and activity planning to maintain system health and security.
Configure, optimize, and maintain database backup and restoration processes ensuring quick recovery and minimal impact in case of failures
