Job Title: Senior Purchase Executive – Packaging Machinery & Materials

Location: Sanpada

Reports To: Purchase Manager / Head – Supply Chain

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Purchase Executive to manage both import procurement of packaging machines and tools as well as local sourcing of secondary packaging materials. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background and proven experience in industrial purchasing, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Import Procurement:

o Manage end-to-end sourcing of packaging machines and tools from international suppliers.

o Coordinate with overseas vendors for quotations, negotiations, order confirmations, and shipment tracking.

o Ensure compliance with import regulations, documentation (LCs, BOEs, etc.), and customs clearance processes.

o Liaise with freight forwarders, CHA, and logistics partners for timely delivery.

* Local Procurement:

o Source and procure secondary packaging materials (e.g., stretch films, tapes, cartons, strapping materials) from domestic vendors.

o Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and service.

o Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term reliability and cost optimization.

* Cost & Inventory Management:

o Monitor market trends and pricing to negotiate favorable terms and reduce procurement costs.

o Collaborate with inventory and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.

* Documentation & Compliance:

o Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.

o Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements related to procurement.

* Cross-functional Coordination:

o Work closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to align procurement with project timelines and budgets.

o Support new product development and machine installation projects with timely procurement of required equipment and materials.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).

* Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial procurement, with exposure to both import and local purchasing.

* Familiarity with packaging machinery and secondary packaging materials is highly desirable.

* Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and import documentation.

* Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
