Current Opportunity: Officer, Finance, India
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer with expertise in accounting and taxation, specifically within the Consulting or Financial Services Sector. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) with exposure to global financial operations. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting, structures, and regulatory compliance. The Finance Officer will report to the Head of Finance, India, is an individual contributor role and based in the office in New Delhi, India.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist in the implementation of automated financial systems and process improvements.
- Ensure data integrity within ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) for accurate financial reporting.
Tax & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., corporate tax, WHT, VAT/GST) across multiple jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities on filings, audits, and compliance matters.
- Monitor changes in local / global tax laws and their impact on accounting & investment structures.
- Maintain records for distributions, receipts and loan repayments including valuation of investments and capital returns.
- Work closely with the program team to track portfolio company performance, compliance and financial impact.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional qualification in Accounting/Finance (CA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in consulting or financial services MNC.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial instruments, and global tax structures.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in a global working environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced investment environment.
