Observability Engineer
in
India
.As an Observability Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring full visibility, reliability, and performance of critical IT systems across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. You will work in a highly collaborative team alongside DevOps, SRE, and application teams to design, implement, and optimize monitoring solutions that enable proactive detection and rapid resolution of incidents. This role involves hands-on experience with observability tools, cloud monitoring, automation, and alerting systems to improve system reliability and operational efficiency. You will have the opportunity to implement best practices for monitoring at scale, optimize dashboards and alerts, and contribute to performance tuning and incident reduction. The position is remote-first, allowing you to work in a dynamic, supportive, and technology-driven environment while making a direct impact on operational excellence.
Accountabilities:
- Manage, configure, and optimize monitoring platforms such as Zabbix and Logic Monitor for infrastructure, applications, and cloud resources
- Administer AWS CloudWatch and integrate monitoring tools with incident management platforms like PagerDuty
- Design and maintain monitoring dashboards, alert rules, and notification policies to ensure effective incident detection
- Automate monitoring tasks, alert configurations, and reporting using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end observability coverage
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce MTTA, MTTR, and MTTD across monitored systems
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in observability, monitoring, or SRE-related roles
- Strong expertise in Zabbix architecture, deployment, and API integration
- Proficiency in configuring synthetic, RUM, and infrastructure monitoring
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation and alert tuning
- Experience with Logic Monitor, PagerDuty, and similar monitoring/incident platforms is a plus
- Solid understanding of Windows, Linux, networking, applications, and cloud monitoring
- Knowledge of AWS CloudWatch and cloud resource monitoring
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Familiarity with containerized environments, database management, and ITIL frameworks is desirable
