Job Description

As an NPD Head, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a product development strategy aligned with company goals and market trends. Your key responsibilities will include: - Strategic Planning & Vision: - Identify and assess new product opportunities and market needs. - Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews, and costing analysis for new projects. - Product Development Lifecycle Management: - Oversee the entire product development process, from ideation to launch. - Manage the development of new products and improvements to existing ones. - Ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. - Team Leadership & Management: - Lead and mentor a team of product development engineers and specialists. - Provide guidance, training, and support to team members. - Manage resources (budget, time, personnel) effectively. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless product development and launch. - Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors. - Technical Expertise: - Possess a strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and industry standards. - Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the autocomponent and steel/metal industry. - Quality Assurance: - Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards and specifications. - Implement and maintain quality control procedures. - Cost Management: - Manage product development costs effectively, ensuring projects stay within budget. - Identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimization. - Documentation & Reporting: - Maintain accurate records of product development activities. - Prepare and present reports on project progress and performance. Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field. - Experience: Proven experience in product development, ideally within the autocomponent or steel/metal industry. - Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of relevant engineering disciplines and manufacturing processes. - Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion. - Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical and business challenges. - Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the autocomponent and steel/metal industry.
