Job Description

  1. Being the Senior position in the company, the candidate must be capable of identifying and bringing new business opportunities and converting into successful products. Responsible for reporting to CEO on key issues of New Product development.
  2. Researches and monitors existing client base and industry developments and identifies potential new product opportunities.
  3. Work in close co-ordination with customers, understanding the requirements and identifying / suggesting appropriate improvements.
  4. Works with New Product Development and Design departments to establish a design, technology, product development and vendor strategy. Manages project budgets and prepares financial analysis reports for top management.
  5. Knowledge in New Product Development using Customer input and developing products through Reverse Engineering concepts, product life cycle testing, design & development activities.
  6. Knowledge in preparation of product costing.
  7. Ensuring prototypes are developed on schedule and within budgets.
  8. Supporting pilot lot production of new products.
  9. APQP Document Preparation, submission & Approval.
  10. PPAP document preparation (supporting role with NPD) / Coordinating with customers for New Products submission with PPAP documents.
  11. Responsible for organizing CFT meetings at every stage of the project and keep records of the same. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
  12. Responsible for procurement of material for product development as per the defined process.
  13. Responsible for vendor development for all the child parts as per BOM list.
  14. Responsible for Creating and updating database of design records for future reference purposes.
  15. Responsible for implementing the QMS in his function as per IATF 16949: 2016 QMS
  16. Ensuring discipline is maintained and culture of performance is inculcated in the team.
  17. Establish accountability and ownership in his team towards achievement of deliverables against the plan.
  18. Ensure coordination and communication between internal teams for sharing relevant inputs on time including the support functions.
  19. Identify training requirements of his team members and recommends training programs accordingly. Ensures his team members are imparted training to bridge the gap.
  20. Provide coaching, direction and leadership support to direct reports / team members to achieve business results.
