Gideon Automotive Industries is an auto ancillary unit established in the year 2013. We manufacture Electrical, Electro-Mechanical and electronic components such as solenoid valves, switches, solenoid coil assemblies, and sensors. The majority of the products are proprietary in nature.

Gideon follows the latest manufacturing practices, implements IATF 16949 QMS and managed by professionals.

Gideon is supplying products to reputed Tier-1 customers and OEM in automobile and non-auto industries in India and oversees. Gideon is growing at a CAGR of 35% since inception and positioned to grow much faster in the coming years. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for preparing drawing using Solid Works Design Software & Auto CAD.
2. Knowledge of designing / detailing assemblies and sub - assemblies of Products.
3. Knowledge in preparation of layouts, assembly drawings, detailed manufacturing drawings with necessary GD & T, preparation of Bill of material, maintenance of ECN, Drawing Revisions and Change level maintenance
4. Create and update database of design records for future reference purposes
5. Perform other design, new product Development activities as required.
6. Knowledge in New Product Development using Customer input and developing products through Reverse Engineering concepts, product life cycle testing, design development activities.
7. Studying existing Products, processes and implementing improvements
8. Maintenance of design and new product development documents as per IATF 16949 QMS is must.
9. Technical co-ordination with other functional departments like production, purchase, and marketing.
10. Participating in CFT meetings, maintaining committed timelines and project files.

Basic Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good proficiency & hands on experience in using MS Office applications.
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily directions from manager to accomplish the tasks.
• Share and collaborate effectively with others, create a positive team spirit.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• BE Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering qualifications with minimum 3+ years of experience in Automotive industry is preferred.
• Must have good knowledge in Solid Works & Auto CAD software.
• Knowledge in PPAP, APQP, DFMEA is preferred.
• Sound Understanding in GD&T in Customer Drawings.
• Candidates working in Electromechanical, Electrical and Electronics based product development area are preferred.
• More specifically Candidates working in Pneumatic and Automobile Sectors will be preferred.
• Candidate shall be creative, highly detail oriented and organised.
• Male Candidates are preferred.
• Candidates from Chennai (In & around Tambaram location) will be given preference.
• Candidates from MSME units with strong desire to learn and grow with the organisation are preferred.
