Infrastructure - Network Engineer/Administrator Job Summary: Highly skilled and experienced Level 3 Network Engineer with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures. Possesses deep expertise in troubleshooting intricate network issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring network security. A proactive and collaborative team player, adept at mentoring junior engineers and contributing to strategic network planning. Skills: Core Networking Technologies & Protocols: Expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP stack and related protocols (DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP, etc.) In-depth knowledge of advanced routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting Experience with Layer 3 switching technologies, including routing protocols and inter-VLAN routing Deep understanding of WAN technologies (MPLS, IPSEC VPN , SD-WAN) Experience with network hardware from various vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Meraki , Fortinet , Palo Alto) Strong understanding of network architecture and design principles, with a focus on high availability, scalability, and industry best practices Hands-on experience with firewall configuration, with a strong emphasis on zoning policies, network segmentation, and access control best practices Ability to operate effectively in a multi-vendor environment, including familiarity with vendor-specific protocols and technologies Strong understanding of wireless networking technologies, particularly in high-density, warehouse or distribution center environments, including RF design, coverage optimization, and interference mitigation Strong understanding of Aruba and Cisco networking technologies, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting of wired and wireless infrastructure, with hands-on experience using Aruba Central Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex network issues Proficiency in using network monitoring and analysis tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.) Ability to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks Strong scripting skills in languages like Python and Bash Proven ability to troubleshoot wireless networking issues, including signal coverage, client connectivity, interference, and performance optimization. Experience troubleshooting firewalls to assist application teams in identifying and resolving network-related bottlenecks, access issues, and performance constraints Experience identifying and troubleshooting issues related to Internet Service Providers (ISPs), including connectivity, latency, and routing problems Show more Show less
