Sr. Engineer App Development Position: Senior Engineer – Application Development Experience: 5 – 8 Years Shift Timings: 3:30 PM IST to 12:30 AM IST . Work Mode – 3 days from Office, 2 days from home Location – Orbit by Auro, Raidurg, Hyderabad. Job Summary: As a Sr. Engineer, App Development, you enhance IT product quality, analyze data for business decisions, and develop technological solutions. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining applications, documentation, and operating instructions while participating in system design and project development. You have deep expertise in your field and basic knowledge of related areas. Work involves diverse, interconnected tasks requiring various procedures and policies. You solve complex problems with innovative approaches, manage budgets, and navigate ambiguity with minimal guidance. You may lead projects, functional teams, or ongoing activities, using independent judgment to achieve objectives Key Responsibilities: ● Determines problems Research, design and develop solutions relative to the operating system and third party software. ● Assists the application developers in testing, delivering, and supporting software solutions to support business initiatives. ● Participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation with the rest of the team responding within the required SLA. ● Performs operating system software upgrades, installations and software ● configurations as well as third party software upgrades, installations, and ● software configurations. ● Creates and schedules the necessary jobs for file and system maintenance. ● Creates automation routines to proactively respond to system messages and alerts.Research, design and develop applications ● Analyze complex business problems and determine an IT solution ● Coordinate the development of documentation to enable implementation and turnover of the process of system ● Work closely with managers and end users to determine best IT solution Preferred Skills: ● Experience developing, testing and debugging software preferably using SQL/PLSQL, Java,Python and/or Oracle/Postgres back-end. ● Experience with one of the Cloud technologies -GCP/AWS/Azure ● API Development using Java/Python/NodeJS ● Experience in messaging - MQ/Kafka/JMS ● Experience in GCP Cloud Run, Composer, Function /simillar technologies ● Academic experience acceptable. Experience: ● 5-8 years of working experience. ● Bachelor Degree - Computer Science/Engineering/Information System ● Relevant experience with systems software programming. Experience providing z/OS systems support and operational experience related to scheduling, monitoring, and facilitating the troubleshooting of production issues within a mainframe environment.
