Network Infrastructure Engineer

As a Network & Infrastructure Engineer at our client, a leading innovator in the smart hospitality industry, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing secure, scalable network infrastructures across both device-level and enterprise environments. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will play a critical role in enabling seamless communication between edge devices and the cloud, supporting internal IT operations, and ensuring the reliability of field-deployed systems. Your key responsibilities will include designing, deploying, and managing device-level and enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/VPN), setting up and maintaining secure communication protocols for IoT/edge devices (e.g., MQTT, HTTPs, CoAP), troubleshooting field-deployed network issues, collaborating with firmware and cloud teams to optimize device-cloud data flow, implementing network monitoring tools and alerting systems, configuring and managing firewall rules, VPNs, and NAT policies for remote connectivity, assisting in provisioning and onboarding new device deployments, managing company IT assets, maintaining inventory of hardware and software assets, supporting remote employees with setup and troubleshooting, coordinating shipping and delivery of devices for remote team members, and ensuring proper configuration and security compliance of all IT assets before deployment. To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, hands-on experience with configuring and managing enterprise network infrastructure, proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting secure communication protocols for IoT and edge devices, experience with cellular networks and remote access solutions, familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools, working knowledge of firewall configuration and VPN setup, ability to collaborate across engineering teams, experience managing IT assets and maintaining inventory systems, proficiency in remote IT support, understanding of IT security best practices, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
