Role Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN). Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance to ensure optimal operation and identify issues proactively. Implement security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access and threats. Perform routine audits of network security and compliance. Collaborate with other IT staff to resolve technical support queries. Provide documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures. Conduct network assessments and recommend improvements or upgrades. Test and evaluate new network technologies and applications. Maintain accurate records and reports of network configurations and incidents. Assist in training staff on network use and best practices. Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Support disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and strategies. Participate in projects related to network enhancements and expansions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field. Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies. Experience with Cisco routers and switches. Strong understanding of network security protocols and practices. Certification in network technologies (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) preferred. Experience with VLAN capabilities and configurations. Familiarity with firewall and VPN technologies. Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex network issues. Experience with network monitoring tools and management systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
