Role Objective: A key objective of this role is to lead and execute national-level marketing strategies and in-clinic promotional activities, ensuring strong brand positioning, KOL engagement, customer development and alignment with organizational objectives. The role demands effective leadership in driving product promotion, training programs, scientific engagements and budgetary control while contributing to business growth through innovative marketing initiatives. Desired Candidate Profile: Minimum 12 years of experience in ophthalmology, with at least 10 years in intraocular lenses (IOL) & ophthalmic surgical consumables & devices. Proven expertise in conducting national and regional scientific promotional activities such as CME, RTM, live surgeries, and symposiums. Experience in KOL/FOL development and management. Prior experience in handling a team of 6 to 8 members. Proficiency in making and delivering professional presentations. Experience in international, national and state-level congress participation. Sound knowledge of in-clinic activities such as CTP, FOCUS and branding exercises. Experience in budgeting, financial monitoring and reporting. Excellent communication, organizational and people management skills. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities. Willingness to travel extensively. Roles & Responsibilities: Promotional & Scientific Activities: Develop and execute zonal and national-level marketing plans aligned with business objectives. Organize CMEs, RTMs, Live Surgeries, Paper Presentations, Symposiums, and scientific meetings. Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of promotional activities through user conversion and upgrades. Coordinate with MARCOM for social media content generation, including testimonial recordings. KOL/FOL Development: Identify, develop, and engage KOLs/FOLs for scientific and promotional programs. Facilitate speaker engagements and product evaluations to strengthen clinical credibility. Congress Participation: Represent the organization at international, national, and state-level congresses. Coordinate booth design, logistics, vendor management, and marketing collaterals for events. In-Clinic Activities: Conduct in-clinic branding and training to promote the premium product range. Develop and update content for FOCUS, CTP, and other in-clinic programs. Budgeting & Financial Control: Prepare, monitor, and report on budgets for promotional activities and assigned territories. Ensure timely processing of payment requests and adherence to IO limits. Marketing Collateral Development: Collaborate with MARCOM/PMT teams to develop and update marketing presentations. Competitive Intelligence: Gather and report competitor activities for strategic planning and market positioning. Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and monitor the performance of the marketing team. Set clear objectives and provide regular feedback and coaching. Training & Development: Conduct quarterly meetings and training sessions for the marketing team in coordination with PMT. Mentor team members to enhance their clinical and marketing capabilities. Functional Skills Required: Strong scientific acumen in ophthalmology, particularly surgical ophthalmology. Strategic marketing planning and execution. Event planning, scientific engagement, and KOL management. Budget management and financial acumen. Social media marketing and content coordination. Analytical and reporting skills. Presentation preparation and delivery. Team development and leadership capabilities. Behavioral Skills Required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Team Size to Be Handled: Managing a team of 8–10 members, including 3–4 direct reportees at the Senior Manager to Manager level and reporting to the Head of Marketing & Clinical Affairs.
