Role Responsibilities Administer Microsoft SQL Server databases including installation and configuration. Perform regular backups and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity. Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries for efficiency. Implement and manage database security policies and protocols. Conduct troubleshooting of database issues to minimize downtime. Manage database migrations and upgrades to newer versions. Set up database replication for data redundancy and availability. Develop and implement maintenance plans for database monitoring. Collaborate with development teams to support application database needs. Prepare database documentation and provide user training as needed. Generate performance reports and assist in capacity planning. Implement and test disaster recovery plans. Maintain compliance with data protection regulations. Respond to and resolve database service requests in a timely manner. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in SQL databases. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a SQL Server Administrator. Proficient with MS SQL Server installation and maintenance. Experience in backup and recovery strategies. Solid understanding of SQL performance tuning and optimization. Familiar with database security protocols and practices. Knowledge of data migration techniques and best practices. Experience with database clustering and replication. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Certifications in MSSQL Administration preferred. Familiarity with ETL processes is a plus. Working knowledge of monitoring tools for databases. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
