Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Consultant specializing in Production and Manufacturing modules. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge in discrete and/or process manufacturing, and be well-versed with end-to-end implementation, support, and upgrade projects across global enterprises. You will play a key role in requirement gathering, solution design, functional configuration, UAT, training, and go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate requirements related to production, shop floor, and manufacturing processes.
- Configure and customize the Production Control, Master Planning, Product Information Management, and Warehouse Management modules within Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Translate functional requirements into system configurations, process flows, and detailed functional specifications.
- Design and support implementation of end-to-end production processes including BOMs, routes, production orders, resource scheduling, capacity planning, and job card journals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, finance, and quality teams to ensure cohesive process design.
- Participate in testing phases, including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support go-live and post-go-live activities including hypercare and training end users.
- Provide inputs into data migration, integrations (MES, WMS, PLCs), and reporting requirements.
- Stay updated with latest features and capabilities of Dynamics 365 and recommend best practices to clients.
- Support performance tuning, issue resolution, and change requests.
Experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 F&O with at least 3 end-to-end implementations in production and manufacturing modules.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes such as production order lifecycle, lean manufacturing, batch/continuous process manufacturing, and MRP/MPS.
- Hands-on configuration experience in:
- Production control
- Product information management
- Shop floor control
- Master planning
- Resource and operations scheduling
- Inventory and warehouse integration with production
- Familiarity with integrations to MES systems and IoT/Shopfloor devices is a plus.
- Exposure to other modules like Inventory Management, Procurement, or Quality Management is beneficial.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments using tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 F&O (especially MB-300 and MB-320) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate (MB-330, MB-320).
- Experience working in global rollouts and multi-entity, multi-country deployments.
- Experience with localization for regions such as South Africa, Africa regions, North America, Europe, or APAC is a plus.
