Motion Graphics Designer

Our flagship product - FundRight is the world’s first student loan bidding platform. GradRight won the HSBC Fintech Innovation Challenge supported by the Ministry of Electronics & IT & was among the top 7 global finalists in The PIEoneer awards hosted by The PIE News, UK. In a short span of 18 months We have received $ 900 millions dollars in loan requests and facilitated disbursements of more than $ 120 million in loans and we are poised to scale up rapidly. We are launching the second product - SelectRight as an innovative approach to college selection and student recruitment for students and universities, respectively. The product rests on the three pillars of data-science, transparency and ethics and hopes to create a lot of value for students and universities.

The core team of GradRight has significant domestic and international expertise in setting-up, managing and working in higher education institutions. The team members are passionate about making a difference to students and universities in the sector.

Brief:

We are looking for an impactful Motion Graphic Designer to own all in-house animation, video editing and production. Someone who is driven and self-motivated to join the growing and fast-paced Brand and communications team. Working closely with the team lead/s, you will support and help drive content creation and contribute to building the brand and marketing goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize, Design and produce graphics driven videos, storyboards and other assets of animation/motion design.
2. Enhance content with engaging motion designs/ animation for multiple marketing channels that helps drive the brand narrative.
3. Shoot, create animation/infographical content and manage all the technical aspects of production as required
4. Ideate graphic techniques for imagery to increase viewer retention and engagement.
5. Present concept visualization through sketches, drawings, and illustrations
6. Plan post-production process and edit raw footages or stitch up stock footages as required
7. Learn new production, editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize impact

Required Skills:

1. Illustration based motion design skills
2. Design and create enticing motion graphics for video deliverables (corporate videos, explainer videos, websites, marketing demos, topical videos etc.)
3. Create short videos to highlight, recap, and promote various endeavors and events.
4. Work autonomously and develop high-quality concepts with minimal instruction.
5. Manage timelines and prioritization of workload, and know when to ask for direction.
6. Optimize graphics and video content for social media platforms.
7. Passion and skills for filmmaking
8. Experience in video creation, production, editing and publishing
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
10. A strong portfolio of works or a demonstrated potential for great work

Technical Abilities:

1. Expertise with Adobe suite such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator with strong understanding of 2D & 3D animation & render techniques.
2. Hands-on production of high quality and realistically rendered graphics and scenarios, with a thorough understanding of pacing and animation principles.
3. Technically proficient with the usage of camera (DSLR)

Required Qualifications:

1. Strong visual communications skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts and data through images.
2. Solid verbal and written communication skills.

Good to have Requirements:

1. 2-3 years of related professional experience.
2. Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
3. Working knowledge in Flash will be nice to have
4. Creative approach and storytelling skills
5. Prior work experience with a fast-growing start-up
6. Willingness to stretch and go beyond the normal standards of schedule and expectations
