What will you do as a Motion Designer at Tessell?

• Design animations for UI transitions, hover effects, state changes, and onboarding flows.
• Partner with UX and visual designers to build motion into user journeys, enhancing interactions and usability.
• Prototype and experiment with motion to validate ideas and bring delight to our users.
  

• Translate Tessell's brand identity into a motion language that's consistent and scalable.
• Design animated infographics, logo animations, or visual loops to elevate storytelling.
• Create storyboards, style frames, and motion tests to visualize design ideas and bring them to life prior to production.
• Develop motion design concepts that effectively communicate the features and benefits of our product verticals.
• Contribute animated assets for Tessell's marketing campaigns, social media, landing pages, and events.
  

• Define motion guidelines and style guide that can be reused across components and platforms.
• Create a scalable system for animation speeds, easing curves, transitions, and interaction principles.
• Work closely with engineers to hand off motion assets with clear specs and documentation.
  

• Collaborate with UX, product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure animations are implemented as intended..
• Advocate for motion as a core part of the design language.

What skills & expertise are we looking for?

Core Skills

• Motion Design & Storytelling

  : Strong understanding of visual rhythm, pacing, and narrative flow.

• UI Animation

  : Experience animating interface elements,pacing, transitions, and microinteractions.

• Video Editing & Compositing

  : Ability to craft polished explainer videos and demos from concept to render.

• Sound Design (Bonus)

  : Appreciation for or ability to integrate subtle sound design into motion projects.

Tools & Technologies

• Animation & Compositing

  : After Effects, Rive, Lottie, Jitter, Principle

• Video & Audio

  : Premiere Pro, Audition (or equivalents)

• Design & Illustration

  : Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop

Your Profile Would Stand Out If You Have:

• Experience working on SaaS, enterprise software, or data-driven platforms.
• A strong portfolio showcasing UI, motion graphics, and illustration work.
• Experience designing for both product interfaces and marketing.
