Communication Designer

As a Communication Designer at Tessell, you will play a crucial role in crafting visually engaging narratives, presentations, and design assets that effectively communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact. Your primary responsibility will be to design high-impact presentations and decks for various purposes such as product launches, sales pitches, investor communications, and internal storytelling. You will be tasked with translating complex information into visual narratives by simplifying technical concepts and data into engaging infographics, charts, and illustrations that enhance comprehension. Additionally, you will develop brand-aligned visual assets including graphics, icons, and illustrations for marketing campaigns, blog posts, product documentation, and social media to elevate the Tessell brand and enhance user understanding. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role as you work closely with marketing, product, and design teams to create materials that align with the brand guidelines and enhance communication strategies. You will also support motion and interactive content by collaborating on video storyboarding, micro-animations, and interactive elements to further enhance the overall communication approach. Your role will involve maintaining and evolving brand guidelines to ensure consistency in Tessell's visual identity across presentations, digital assets, and internal documentation. Experimenting with new design trends, tools, and techniques will be essential to drive innovation in design storytelling and keep Tessell's storytelling fresh and engaging. Challenges you will encounter in this role include transforming technical and data-driven content into intuitive visual narratives, scaling design across teams to maintain brand consistency, crafting data-driven stories for enhanced understanding, ensuring brand identity remains modern and adaptable, and staying ahead of design and communication trends to keep Tessell's storytelling impactful. To excel in this position, Tessell is looking for individuals with expertise in presentation and deck design, graphic and visual design using tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Figma, storytelling and information design skills, data visualization capabilities, experience in branding and identity maintenance, and preferably motion and interactive design knowledge as a bonus. Strong collaboration and communication skills are also essential for working effectively with cross-functional teams. If you have experience designing decks and visual materials for SaaS, enterprise, or tech-driven companies, a strong portfolio showcasing impactful communication design work, background in working on high-visibility projects with marketing, product, or leadership teams, knowledge of UI/UX principles, and a passion for turning abstract concepts into compelling visual stories, your profile would stand out. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience), 2 - 5 years of experience in communication design, presentation design, or visual storytelling, and a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in deck design, branding, and visual storytelling.
