MIS Executive

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MIS Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the information systems within the organisation, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role requires a strong background in server management, network security, and technical support, along with excellent leadership and project management skills.

Duties

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement and monitor information security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Oversee network security protocols to safeguard against unauthorised access.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Engage in systems engineering tasks to optimise IT infrastructure.
• Utilise SolarWinds for network monitoring and performance analysis.
• Administer Active Directory for user management and access control.
• Apply ITIL best practices for service management and support processes.
• Provide technical support for desktop environments and remote access software.
• Conduct analysis of network infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
• Lead projects related to network engineering, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
• Supervise team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellence.
• Maintain documentation using Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess requirements for software development projects.
• Manage firewall configurations and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Work with VMware technologies including vSphere for virtualisation needs.
• Support WAN/LAN configurations, DHCP, IIS, SQL databases, Microsoft SQL Server, and Linux environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in server management and information security practices.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and disaster recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with systems engineering concepts and methodologies.
• Proficient in SolarWinds, Active Directory, ITIL frameworks, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira, AWS, Azure technologies.
• Experience with network engineering concepts including Cisco routers and firewall management.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in supervising teams or projects.
• Strong organisational skills coupled with effective time management abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
