Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Microsoft Project Specialist at NextGen Digital Solutions, located in New Bombay. The role involves managing project schedules, resources, and reporting using Microsoft Project, while ensuring timely coordination with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in project planning, monitoring, and execution with strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

Create, update, and maintain detailed project schedules in Microsoft Project.
Track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with project timelines.
Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and report progress.
Generate dashboards and reports on project status, resource allocation, and variance analysis.
Support compliance with project governance, documentation, and audit requirements.
Assist in risk identification and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Ensure seamless collaboration across teams for project delivery.

Preferred Skills & Tools

2–5 years of proven experience in project planning and tracking using Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Hands-on experience with tools such as:

Microsoft Project Online / Project Server
Power BI (for reporting and dashboards)
Jira / Trello / MS Planner (for Agile/Task tracking)
Excel (Advanced) for data analysis and reporting

Familiarity with PMO processes and project governance frameworks.
Hands-on experience with AI tools would be preferred.
Strong knowledge of resource allocation, critical path method (CPM), and Gantt charts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management.
Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or MS Project certification) is a plus.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, BSc, or others.
2–5 years of relevant professional experience in project planning and coordination.
Experience working in a consulting or technology services environment will be an advantage.
