Merchandising & Procurement Executive – Wedding, Pooja & Dcor Products

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising, eCommerce Review & Trend Planning

  • Review

    eCommerce performance

    to analyze customer demand, best sellers, slow movers, and seasonal trends
  • Identify trends across

    weddings, festivals, Navaratri (Golu), temple rituals, and gifting occasions

  • Research new

    designs, finishes, materials, themes, and packaging innovations

  • Propose and introduce

    innovative, differentiated products

    for global markets

Procurement, Sourcing & Negotiation (India & China)

  • Identify and onboard

    vendors, artisans, manufacturers, and exporters

    across India and China
  • Lead

    strong commercial negotiations

    covering pricing, MOQs, lead times, payment terms, packaging costs, and exclusivity
  • Drive

    cost optimization and margin improvement

    through data-backed negotiations

Vendor Management

  • Own vendor onboarding including samples, pricing approvals, and compliance
  • Monitor vendor performance on quality, delivery, and consistency
  • Resolve quality and commercial issues through firm negotiation

Merchandising & Procurement Executive – Food Products (Branded Exports & White Label)

Key Responsibilities

Food Brand Identification & Branded Exports

  • Identify

    strong domestic food brands

    suitable for international export
  • Evaluate brands on

    quality, shelf life, certifications, scalability, and demand

  • Negotiate

    export agreements

    with brand owners (pricing, volumes, territories, margins)
  • Manage export of

    branded food products under original brand names

Own Brand / White-Label Development

  • Identify manufacturers for

    white-label / private-label food production

  • Work on

    recipes, formulations, packaging, labeling, shelf life, and branding

  • Launch and scale

    own-brand food products

    for global markets

Procurement & High-Impact Negotiation

  • Lead negotiations covering

    pricing, MOQs, lead times, payment terms, packaging, shelf-life guarantees, and exclusivity

  • Achieve

    cost savings and margin improvements

    through strong negotiations

COMMON RESPONSIBILITIES (Both Positions)

  • Strong collaboration with

    eCommerce, exports, logistics, and quality teams

  • Maintain accurate

    cost sheets, vendor records, and product documentation

  • Track competitor products, pricing, and new launches
  • Visit

    markets, factories, trade fairs, exhibitions, and sourcing clusters

  • Continuously identify

    new vendors, new products, and innovation opportunities

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

Core Skills (Non-Negotiable)

  • Exceptional negotiation and commercial skills

  • Strong experience in

    merchandising and procurement

  • Proven vendor sourcing capability (India mandatory, China preferred)
  • Strong understanding of

    costing, margins, and pricing strategy

  • Ability to analyze

    eCommerce data and market trends

  • Advanced proficiency in

    Excel / Google Sheets

Experience Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience in

    procurement / merchandising / sourcing

  • Experience in

    either or both

    :
    • Dcor / Handicrafts / Spiritual / Wedding Products
    • Food Products / Branded Exports / White Label
  • Export or eCommerce exposure is a strong advantage

Performance KPIs

  • New vendors and brands onboarded
  • Cost savings achieved through negotiations
  • Successful launch of new products (decor & food)
  • Margin improvement and MOQ reduction
  • Expansion of export-ready product portfolio
