Senior Executive - Demand Planning

Role & responsibilities

Inventory & Demand Planning

• Oversee inventory planning to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing write-offs and carrying costs.
  
• Manage demand planning across multiple CMOs, import schedules, and long lead-time products.
  
• Monitor short-dated, slow-moving, and at-risk inventory; recommend corrective actions such as redistribution, price revisions, or controlled liquidation.
  
• Provide stock visibility and allocation planning to support tenders, urgent supply requests, and customer needs.
  
• Ensure all planning activities comply with

  GDP/GMP standards and MAH obligations

  .

Strategic Demand Forecasting

• Lead rolling

  monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts

  in collaboration with Global Sales teams.
• Drive demand planning discussions with

  Sales, Business Development, Strategic Alliance, Project Management, Finance, and Regulatory teams

  .
• Analyze sales trends, tender pipelines, and consumption patterns to improve forecast accuracy.
  
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen demand planning effectiveness.
  

Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

• Ensure demand and supply plans align with

  MAH responsibilities

  , including product lifecycle management, recalls, and batch traceability.
• Support internal and external audits (MHRA, GDP, regulatory audits) with accurate documentation and planning data.
  
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs for

  variations, new launches, and product discontinuations

  .

Reporting, Systems & Process Improvement

• Prepare and maintain dashboards and reports on

  forecast accuracy, stock health, supply risks, and demand trends

  .
• Maintain and enhance

  ERP master data, safety stock parameters, and planning logic

  .
• Lead or support

  automation initiatives

  such as forecasting tools, dashboards, and process optimization.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building within the planning function.
  

Key Skills Required:

• Strong experience in

  Demand Planning & Inventory Management

• Exposure to

  regulated pharmaceutical markets

• Knowledge of

  GDP, GMP, and MAH requirements

• Hands-on experience with

  ERP systems

  and planning tools
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills
  
• Proficiency in

  MS Excel

  and reporting dashboards
