Role Overview: As a Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development and production process. Your role involves conducting market research, collaborating with design teams, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring high-quality standards. Additionally, you will lead a team of merchandisers and coordinators, contribute to strategic planning, and communicate with clients and stakeholders effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct market research to identify fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies - Collaborate with design teams to develop new product lines aligning with market trends and brand strategy - Identify and establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and optimize costs - Develop and manage budgets for product lines, monitor production costs, and implement cost-saving measures - Develop production schedules, monitor order progress, and address any delays or issues - Set quality standards, conduct inspections, oversee sample development, and approve samples - Implement inventory control strategies, forecast demand, and plan production accordingly - Coordinate transportation, shipping, and delivery schedules, manage import/export processes - Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team, foster a high-performance work environment - Contribute to business and merchandising strategies, make informed decisions on product assortment and pricing - Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, provide regular updates on order status - Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards, monitor industry-specific certifications - Address complex production issues, propose solutions to improve efficiency and productivity - Track and analyze production and sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and generate reports Qualification Required: - Diploma in a related field is preferred - 1 year of experience in merchandising is required (Note: Additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.)
